Adolf Dehn

American, (1895–1968)


Adolf Dehn was born in Waterville, Minnesota in 1895. He attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the Art Students League in New York City. He lived in Europe after World War I and drew caricatures of life. Dehn later returned to New York and he continued his career as a lithographer. His first exhibition was at the Weyhe Gallery in New York City. Dehn was elected as a member of the National Institute of Arts and Letters and became a full academician in the National Academy of Design. He died in New York City, New York in 1968.
